Your day involves review of maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment status, aligning priorities with cross-functional teams, and conducting plant walkdowns to ensure safe, reliable operations across critical assets. You oversee maintenance execution, outage planning, compliance, and performance KPIs while managing budgets, contractors, and spares, closing the day with progress reviews and coordination to support seamless plant operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead and execute comprehensive maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, corrective) to ensure reliability and optimal performance of turbines, generators, HRSGs, and balance-of-plant systems, while driving continuous improvement.
• Plan and manage planned and unplanned outages, oversee asset lifecycle and condition monitoring programs, and optimize spare parts and inventory strategies.
• Enhance reliability and performance through RCM practices, data-driven maintenance, and effective use of CMMS for work management and KPI tracking.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with EHS, ISO, and regulatory standards, enforcing safe work practices, and supporting audits and inspections.
• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance teams while managing contractor performance, defining clear accountability, and ensuring high-quality execution.
• Manage maintenance budgets and OPEX, support procurement strategies, and provide structured reporting and cross-functional coordination with Operations to align maintenance with production goals.

What You Bring

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Power Plant Engineering (Master’s preferred) with 10+ years of experience in power plant maintenance and operations, including combined cycle plants, and 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in maintaining turbines, generators, HRSGs, and auxiliary systems, with proven experience in outage management, RCA, and predictive maintenance.
• Confidently navigate complex technical documentation, contracts, and stakeholder environments across the Middle East within large global organizations.
• Possess solid knowledge of CMMS and digital maintenance tools, OEM standards, best practices, and HSE requirements.
• Bring strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural and complex environments.
• Exhibit high digital literacy, proactive problem-solving, continuous learning mindset, and willingness to work in Khormala and reside in Erbil (Iraq).

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
