How to contribute to our vision

This role is a replacement to ensure business continuity for the Backend Service Delivery team, part of the Data Platforms and Services organization. As a Specialist Professional (P4), this position is essential for architecting and maintaining the core backend technical platforms that support critical business processes across Siemens Energy. To fulfill this objective, the role is structured around three core areas: IT Infrastructure Architecture & Strategy, Service Delivery & Operations Management, and Technical Leadership & Process Improvement. This approach ensures a focus on both the strategic design of robust backend systems and the operational excellence required to deliver and support them effectively. Given the focus on advanced technical architecture and service reliability, the ideal candidate will be a recognized subject matter expert with extensive experience in IT infrastructure, cloud and ERP platforms (e.g. Snowflake, AWS, SAP, BDC, BW and others), and DevOps methodologies. The role requires proven ability to manage large, complex projects and provide technical coaching to other professionals.

    • Manage large-scale technical projects and operational processes with limited managerial oversight, ensuring timely delivery.

    • Act as the highest escalation point for troubleshooting and resolving complex, difficult issues related to backend infrastructure and services.
  • 20% Technical Leadership & Process Improvement
    • Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals, fostering technical growth within the team.
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance backend system performance, workflow management, and operational procedures.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, configurations, and operational playbooks.
    • Drive the adoption of DevOps, CI/CD, AI and automation practices and scripting to improve service delivery efficiency.
