The Generator Mechanical & Auxiliary Specialist carries out maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities for generators and associated auxiliary systems, including both scheduled and unscheduled works. The role also supports planning, documentation, spare parts preparation, and on-site guidance to help ensure safe and reliable execution of outage and field service activities.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, overhaul, and upgrades for generators and auxiliary systems.​
• Troubleshoot generator and auxiliary equipment, and assist with turbine maintenance activities as needed.​
• Prepare and document shift activities, supporting clear handovers and job communication with team members.​
• Inspect equipment components for faults, provide appropriate recommendations, and document findings.​
• Plan scope of work and required spare parts, offering input to project or site management.​
• Provide training, guidance, and support to colleagues and sub-contractors, ensuring health, safety, and continuous improvement

What You Bring

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent, or vocational/high school qualification with at least 4 years of independent experience in generators, gensets, and auxiliary systems; Siemens Energy experience is an advantage.
• Practical mechanical maintenance experience in power generation or Oil & Gas, with readiness for hands-on work under time constraints and varying site conditions.
• Able to read and work from drawings, specifications, and unit conversions in line with international standards, with good English communication skills and basic IT proficiency.
• Demonstrates a proactive and problem-solving approach, with interest in learning and improving technical solutions over time.
• Works well in a team and independently, with good interpersonal skills, willingness to work shifts, and an understanding of HSE and quality requirements.
• Willing to travel and work independently at various sites as well as in the Kuala Lumpur workshop.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
