A Snapshot of Your Day

In this field-based role, your day will typically begin at a customer site such as a power plant or construction location, where you prepare and carry out nondestructive examinations in line with defined procedures and safety standards. You will independently or collaboratively perform inspections, evaluate findings, and document results accurately and on time. Throughout the day, you may provide technical guidance to colleagues or customer technicians, take ownership of assigned scopes during outages, and escalate complex findings when needed. Depending on project requirements, you may work shifts, support multiple sites, or collaborate with international teams, contributing your expertise to ensure reliable and high-quality service delivery across the region.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Will prepare, execute, evaluate and document nondestructive examinations on site. Take appropriate action to resolve findings including escalation of more complex issues to a higher level.
  • Provide expert advice and technical assistance to support staff and subordinate technicians.
  • Performs day to day activities as part of a team or as a standalone function.
  • Provides all required documentation and reports in a timely manner and according to procedure.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and may lead sub-contracted or customer technicians in the implementation of work activities at site, dependent on outage scope
  • Perform tasks that require mobility in difficult working environments, such as construction sites and power plants. The candidate will primarily be deployed in Korea, but may receive international assignments in the region and globally working with people of different cultural backgrounds.
  • This position involves shift work that may include Weekend, Holiday or Nightshift work.

What You Bring

  • Candidate is expected to have a Bachelor degree in an applicable technical field and NDT Level II Qualification with 4 years experience for this position.
  • Preference will be given to candidates that have qualifications to ISO9712. Qualifications and experience with PT and MT is essential and candidates with UT experience are preferred. If a candidate does not have UT qualifications, training will be provided.
  • Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is required in an industrial environment, preferably in the area of turbine/generator maintenance.
  • Experience with using a Borescope is beneficial. We expect our NDT Specialists to develop as Fact Finders once expertise is gained on our equipment.
  • Must have basic level of English capability for both written and spoken communication. Expected to read and understand written English technical documentation.
  • Global mindset. Strong intercultural sensitivity and ability to work with teams and stakeholders around the globe
  • Strong customer service and communication skills Ability and willingness to travel and provide service in assigned geography
  • Willing to work different shifts as business needs dictate, including willingness to work overtime as required
  • Valid driver's license and car to be able to travel to sites independently.
  • Legally permitted to work in South Korea
  • Fluent in Korean
  • This is a field-based assignment, candidate must be resident in Korea and will travel from home location to field assignments as required.
