Position Title: Onshore FS Manager Algeria

A Snapshot of Your Day

As part of Siemens Energy’s Onshore Field Service organization in Algeria, this role plays a critical part within the Field Service & Tooling organization for Europe and Africa. You will be responsible for managing and staffing Field Service projects across the sub-region, mainly supporting Gas Services (Distributed and Central), while also providing support beyond the sub-region when required.

In this role, you will lead and optimize Field Service resources, ensure operational excellence, support project execution, and drive continuous improvement across people, processes, tooling, and digitalization initiatives.

How You’ll Make an Impact  

• Lead and manage the Onshore Field Service organization within the sub-region, reporting directly to the Head of Onshore Field Service.
• Manage and optimize Field Service headcount to meet project demand and operational needs.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with Product Competency Centers (PCCs) within the global Field Service organization.
• Ensure effective communication and alignment with the Project Management (PM) organization.
• Optimize Field Service team setup based on short-term and long-term planning for planned and unplanned outages.
• Recruit required Field Service Engineers and Technicians within the region as needed.
• Continuously optimize the balance between regional Field Service resources and PCC headcount utilization for outage execution.
• Enhance team capabilities through cross-training of Field Service Engineers and Technicians.
• Organize required trainings and track PCC certifications, ensuring compliance with certification and localization requirements.
• Coach, develop, and motivate the local Field Service team to ensure high engagement, performance, and employee retention.
• Ensure utilization, timeline adherence, and quality targets are achieved across all Field Service activities.
• Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements related to Field Service operations.
• Oversee Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) responsibilities for Field Service activities at customer sites.
• Manage the regional tooling center effectively to support Field Service operations.
• Support digitalization initiatives through the adoption of tools and platforms such as Primavera, Salesforce Field Service Lightning, Polaris (SAP FSM / SF FSL), OnePM, mySPGI, and CPQ.
• Foster a culture of transparency, entrepreneurship, inclusiveness, and continuous improvement, acting as a change agent for the organization.

What You Bring 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Field Service, preferably with hands-on exposure.
• Proven experience leading teams of 5+ people.
• Strong project management capabilities and understanding of turnkey project setups and implementation concepts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex operational environments.
• Good understanding of organizational structures, including headquarters and regional operations.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese.
