The Project Procurement Manager is a key individual contributor that represents Supply Chain in the Project – Bidding and Execution Phase, as a sub-project manager leading the Project SCM strategy. Coordinates all Procurement and Subcontract activities in a project under optimum deployment of resources while optimally collaborating closely with procurement, commodity management, expediting, supplier quality and logistics functions. Implements' project procurement/subcontract strategies, striving to optimize project results, including availability of goods and services in quality, in time, in budget. Ensures observance of obligatory Procurement processes and regulations for the company and those specific to the project.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead early engagement in the FEED stage, integrating procurement strategies into proposal activities and ensuring alignment with client requirements and approved vendor lists. Develop and implement project-specific sourcing strategies to optimize costs, handle procurement risks, and leverage supplier innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze supply scope, contractual obligations, and customer needs, while providing insights on supply market dynamics.
  • Drive supplier qualification, negotiation, and management processes to secure efficient conditions and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Maintain clarity in resource availability, support project planning, and facilitate effective communication between procurement and project management teams.
  • Collaborate with Commodity Management and Cost Value Engineers (CVE) to develop procurement strategies, ensuring sustainable sourcing and supplier engagement. Participate on FEED stage for Decarbonization Initiative by communicating and collaborating with suppliers and requesting quote to support proposed solutions
  • Conduct comprehensive risk analysis and supplier evaluations to identify potential procurement risks, market influences, and opportunities, updating the Procurement Risk Register accordingly. Engage with suppliers to assess their capabilities in supporting decarbonization efforts, while ensuring compliance with project requirements and mitigating risks associated with supply chain disruptions.

What You Bring

  • Experience in Project Procurement Management
  • Experience working in SCM (Procurement and Subcontract) functions in Oil & Gas or Power Generation Industry
  • Great teammate with an attitude to collaborate with a distributed team and diverse cultures.
  • Ability to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate with peers and partner representatives to influence decisions or ways of working.
  • Ability to coach, mentor and share knowledge in both formal and informal settings.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills with ability to explain technical matters to staff not conversant with the detailed technical area.
  • Able to handle time effectively, both own time and that of a team to achieve delivery of work against agreed schedules.
  • Self-starter with a strong delivery focus and good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Fluent English oral & written crucial, German is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in commodity management function
  • Experience in Subcontracting services and works (Engineering, Civil Works, Electromechanical Assemblies, Installation works…)

Our team of 10+ people are responsible for the Global Procurement of Compressors Skids/Packaging materials. We build relationships with suppliers, send RFQs and Purchase Orders, track Procurement metrics, and work with Project Procurement and Engineering for customer deliveries. We are seeking an expert procurement professional with knowledge of the local Brazil market to join our distributed team.
