Siemens Energy Aero-derivative Gas Turbines (AGT) is currently recruiting for Electrical, Controls and Instrument (EC&I) - Systems Engineer within our Technical Service Engineering function based at the services headquarters in Warwick, UK. The industrial controls system (ICS) is one of the most influential parts of our product range, this means you are at the heart of the projects we do globally, and always in the thick of the action.
As part of our global Service Engineering group, your day involves working with our regional teams and customers, for technical support on the ICS through project execution, install & commissioning, and development of in-service product improvements and solutions to operation issues
Your primary objective will be to effectively manage in-service issues helps our customer operations of the gas turbine packages to be more efficient.
- Get hands on with diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, develop technical documentation and presentations. Opportunities to travel overseas may arise on occasions.
- Work with our Operational Service Desk, Technical Support, Field Service and Project teams across the globe, and directly with customers.
- Support development and deployment of Industrial Control Systems solutions, from hardware, controls software, HMI applications, electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Facilitate healthy knowledge sharing within the engineering groups across various locations.
- Be directly involved in product safety and reliability improvement programmes.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with electrical, controls and instrumentation discipline.
- Exposure in Oil & Gas, Energy or similar industrial environments preferred.
- Knowledgeable on industrial control system applications related to Gas Turbine or similar rotating equipment or process plant operations.
- Hands-on skills with Rockwell CompactLogix, Siemens S7 and Intouch systems, with practical knowledge on industrial cyber security are preferable.
- Familiar with change/configuration management, project engineering methods and relevant industry standards (e.g. IEEE, IEC, NFPA.).
- Demonstrates problem solving with practical use of root cause and data analysis techniques, and a systematic approach to solutions. Complementary skills with simulation tools and other programming languages would be advantageous.
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with reporting writing skills in English is important, working in culturally diverse environments.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
