A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Digital Scheduler, you will be responsible for managing the daily logistics and scheduling of repaired parts within a defined cell, ensuring seamless delivery to the build line and sub-assembly processes. You will oversee data accuracy across ERP and APS systems, coordinate with engineers and repair teams, and proactively resolve issues that could affect on-time delivery. This role combines hands-on operational control with digital scheduling expertise, driving the flow of materials valued at approximately £2 million through complex repair and production routes to meet business targets.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Oversee complex logistics control using ERP and APS systems to achieve >95% on-time production performance.

  • Manage daily digital scheduling and logistics flow, resolving production issues within 24 hours.

  • Analyse ERP and APS data to identify constraints and optimise workflow within the repair and assembly cells.

  • Report daily to the Senior Digital Scheduler on cell performance, issues, and improvement actions.

  • Monitor monthly yield and cost performance, managing variances up to £50K.

  • Control cell inventory valued at around £2 million, reporting monthly on variances and stock accuracy.

  • Provide daily and weekly performance reports, highlighting deviations and corrective actions.

  • Communicate effectively across shop floor and engineering teams, influencing task prioritisation and delivery focus.

  • Support continuous improvement by identifying and implementing system and process enhancements.

  • Manage and update SAP data to ensure accurate reflection of production progress and performance.

What You Bring

  • Proficiency in SAP production order systems and experience interpreting digital scheduling tools (APS or equivalent).

  • In-depth knowledge of material scheduling, expediting, and production control within a manufacturing or repair environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to act quickly under time constraints.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, capable of coordinating between multiple teams and priorities.

  • Experience managing repair processes or shop floor scheduling, ensuring clear direction and accountability.

  • Familiarity with current and legacy engine product ranges (advantageous).

  • Minimum ONC in an Engineering or Commercial discipline (HNC desirable) or equivalent professional experience.

  • Proven experience in a logistics, scheduling, or production control role, ideally within a complex manufacturing environment.
