The Digital & Data Solutions Team is looking for an innovative, enthusiastic, and versatile Data Reporting Specialist who will help continue to drive Siemens Energy business forward in growing the data analytics offerings, development, and fleet data (maintenance) supporting the vision of “Data as A Service”
Reporting to the Data Governance Manager and working closely with the Data Team Lead, this is a key role to ensure Siemens Energy AGT (Aeroderivative Gas Turbines) becomes a truly data-driven business, aligned with strategic data initiatives.
This is initially a maternity cover fixed term role for 2 years, but, within our growth context, there is the possibility of extension or transition to a permanent role, based on business needs and individual performance.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- By collecting, analyzing, and reporting on various data sets to support decision-making and business operations
- Build relationships with stakeholders/customers to understand their reporting requirements, to improve quality and build trust
- Work with users and cross‑functional teams to support accurate data entry and facilitate smooth transitions when new data scope is introduced
- Facilitate reporting, supporting global data and business process owners for query resolution for projects and enhancements
- Create visually appealing and easy-to-understand data reports and dashboards using data visualization tools
- Support in analyzing and interpreting relevant data, identify root causes and data quality issues, find internal and external opportunities
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization, using tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
- An analytical mind set, as well as an inquisitive, methodical approach
- Attention to detail and an appreciation for data and process improvement
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams
- Experience in working with large datasets and databases is a nice to have
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is an advantage
- Willingness to work with the local team from the office 3 days/week
About the team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
