Do you want to be a part of the world’s energy transition? We actively contribute to help our customers around the world to modernize their equipment and reduce their carbon footprint. The department is responsible to develop a customer adapted solution for the control equipment in modernization projects for our gas turbine fleet.

Currently the futures energy systems are developed in a rapid pace and our department is contributing to find a solution for the tougher demands that’s our customers face in regards of smaller grid tolerance, operation with renewable fuel and several other innovative solutions to user their equipment in a more effective way.

You will be part of a team with very broad knowledge with regards to gas turbine control, which make sure to support and help each other. As a Control System Hardware Design Engineer, you will play an important role in how we develop, modernize, and make sustainable upgrades of our gas turbine service fleet. A large part of our modernizations are customized control system upgrades but also larger retrofits where the team perform the electrical engineering as a part of a project team. The challenge is to modify new solution to match old technology and demands on a fastmoving energy market.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact  

  • Support in the development, dimensioning and implementation of solutions in the area of Instrumentation and Control Hardware
  • Implementation of technical electrical drawings, diagrams for turbines applied to thermoelectric power plants or industries and respective technical documentation
  • Works as a part of a project team as responsible for electrical engineering, quality, time and cost.
  • Engineering of solutions to replace existing control system for new. Update drawings in our CAD system AutoCad or Comos. EPLAN experience is valued.
  • Prepare documentation how to dismantle old equipment and install new one.
  • Participate and answer for electrical related questions in customer meetings.
  • The role can include travel to customer site for a few weeks to participate in installation of the control equipment and act as advisor for field installation.
  • The role can include travel to Finspång, Sweden for participation in FAT and sub suppliers visits
  • Perform tasks and electrical engineering in development projects.
  • Update as built documentation and perform support tasks involving electrical engineering.

What You Bring 

  • Professional Training, License or Integrated Bachelors/Masters in Electrotechnics, Electronics, Automation, Control and Instrumentation (Energy and / or Automation and Control Systems)
  • Interest in areas like Electricity, Technical Design/Drawing, Control and Digital Systems
  • Min. 2-3 years’ experience of electrical engineering, preferably control systems
  • Experience of engineering CAD tools, EPLAN experience is valued
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Preferably experience from handling of international contacts and external customers
  • Works independently
  • Responsibility, ability to work under pressure and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools
