A Snapshot of Your Day

 

As Commercial Project Manager will provide dedicated commercial project management support for the Industrial Steam Turbines & Generators business, ensuring financial integrity and control over Field service projects. To address this need, you will concentrate on three primary areas: Project Financial Control & Forecasting, Order Management & Commercial Processing, and Financial Reporting & Compliance. This structure ensures comprehensive financial oversight throughout the entire service project lifecycle, from initial order and cost planning through to final reporting and analysis.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

 
  • Manage and control costs, budgets, and forecasts for individual field service projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Perform regular financial analysis on project performance, identifying deviations, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial targets are met and provide guidance on cost-saving measures.
  • Oversee asset accounting and ensure compliance with internal financial controls for all service operations.
  • Process and manage incoming customer orders for field services within the designated ERP system (e.g., SAP).
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, manage accounts receivable, and resolve any billing discrepancies with customers.
  • Support the contract and bid management process by providing commercial and financial input for service proposals.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports on service project performance for management.
  • Ensure all financial transactions and reporting activities comply with company regulations, accounting principles, and internal control frameworks.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, reconciliations, and explanations for service project finances.
   

What You Bring

 
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in a financial role, such as project controlling, cost accounting, or financial analysis.
  • Experience working in a project-based or service-oriented business environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience in project cost control, financial analysis, and proficiency with ERP systems like SAP.
  • Working independently to provide financial guidance and support to operational project managers
  • You know what to prioritize and you take responsibility. 
  • You are detailed when it is needed and always make sure to deliver on time with the right quality.
  • You can communicate fluently in English, other language skills, especially German, are a plus.
