A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Buyer for Export Control, you will primarily focus on the material master data ensuring creation, maintenance and compliance of the defined process in the ERP, maintaining accurate material master data and supporting audits. You will deal with export control activities within our operational procurement team, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and export control laws. Your responsibilities include classification of hardware and software components for export. Additionally, you will assist in operative buying processes to ensure seamless procurement operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Maintain and update material master data to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain and update supplier master data to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain ERP core data and ensure data quality
  • Classify engineering components (hardware/software) for export control and customs purposes
  • Identify and maintain required information for customs classification in the material master
  • Conduct 3rd party due diligence audits of global suppliers to ensure compliance
  • Support internal and external audits related to export control and procurement
  • Assist operative buying by supporting purchase order processing and supplier communication
  • Collaborate with procurement and compliance teams to optimize processes and ensure regulatory adherence

What You Bring
  • A technical education or degree (e.g., electrical, industrial, mechanical engineering) or strong technical understanding
  • Several years of professional experience in material management, export control, customs, or related compliance fields
  • Experience with SAP or willingness to learn and adapt
  • Good English skills; basic German skills
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork and adaptability, good time management and organizational skills
  • Availability to work from our Bucharest office 3 days per week, with 2 days remote
