A Snapshot of Your Day
The position is essential for maintaining and expanding the market presence of High Voltage (HV) Switchgear products and solutions, directly supporting the region's sales objectives. To achieve this, the role is structured around two core areas: technical sales support and business development.
This involves proactively identifying new customers and market entry points, providing expert technical consultation both to the internal sales business and customers. Developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies for market diversification and growth, while also nurturing long-term customer relationships to maintain base business.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities for HV switchgear products and services within the Australian market.
- Prepare and conduct technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and briefings for customers and stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver sales proposals, including technical specifications, pricing considerations, and contract requirements.
- Create and maintain sales forecasts, analyze market trends, and monitor competitor activities to inform sales strategy.
- Provide post-sale support and ensure customer satisfaction to foster repeat business and long-term loyalty.
- Act as the technical lead, supporting the sales and tendering teams providing direction on opportunities, bid strategy and target pricing
- Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key industry personnel, consultants, and partners in the energy sector.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as a Senior Professional in a technical sales or business development capacity.
- Demonstrated experience with High Voltage (HV) switchgear or related equipment within the energy, utility, or industrial sectors.
- Experience managing complex, long-cycle sales projects with limited supervision.
