Junior Buyer at Siemens Energy

A key role in ensuring the efficient execution of operational purchasing activities that support our business objectives. You will be responsible for sourcing goods, materials, and services while balancing cost, quality, and delivery requirements to maintain continuity of supply. Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will help drive procurement excellence, support operational efficiency, and contribute to delivering reliable energy solutions that power communities around the world.

How You’ll Make an Impact  

  • Process purchase requests by creating and releasing purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procurement procedures.
  • Manage purchase orders from creation through delivery, ensuring a cost-effective and uninterrupted supply of materials and services.
  • Monitor and expedite supplier deliveries to meet business requirements and project timelines.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and supply risks.
  • Escalate procurement-related risks and delivery concerns to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Monitor supplier performance relating to quality, delivery, and responsiveness, addressing issues as required.
  • Maintain accurate supplier master data and procurement records within company systems.
  • Support negotiations for low-value purchases, including pricing and payment terms.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders by responding promptly and professionally to procurement requests.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within procurement processes, including order consolidation, process optimization, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy procurement standards, policies, and ethical sourcing principles.

What You Bring 

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, or a related environment.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP is advantageous.
  • Exposure to international sourcing or supplier management will be beneficial.
