A Snapshot of your Day

As a Working Student in Business Controlling for Siemens Energy’s wind business, you support commercial and financial processes across Onshore and potentially Offshore Wind projects. You will collaborate with controllers, project managers, and cross ‑ functional stakeholders to ensure transparency, data quality, and financial accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.  Your work contributes directly to the success of wind energy projects in an international, fast ‑ paced environment.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Support monthly forecasting and reporting for project and cost center controlling, including reporting during Execution and Service phases and activities during monthly closing cycles
  • Assist with budget preparation, cost tracking, and monthly performance reviews; provide ad‑hoc analysis as needed
  • Perform financial analyses (data aggregation and interpretation) and work with Onshore Wind Power project data in Excel and SAP
  • Create, enhance, and automate reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, Alteryx and SAC
  • Contribute to process improvement and digitalization initiatives in reporting; assist with periodic internal controls and develop new ones (Excel/Power BI)
  • Maintain controlling documentation, perform purchase order/invoice clean‑up, and handle related administrative tasks

What You Bring
  • Ongoing studies in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Data/Analytics, or similar fields
  • Strong analytical mindset and structured, detail - oriented working style
  • Good knowledge of Excel (including pivot tables; VBA is a plus) and Power BI
  • Familiarity with SAP is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills in English; ability to collaborate across teams and countries
  • Proactive, curious, reliable, and comfortable taking responsibility in a dynamic environment
About the Team  

You will be part of a highly collaborative Project/Business Controlling team supporting wind energy projects across Europe. The team works closely with commercial project managers and engineers, providing financial insights, ensuring transparency, and  driving continuous improvement.
