A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a tax and accounting expert to manage the accurate filing of our company’s federal and state/city tax forms and prepare/review income tax provisions. We are looking for a candidate who will be a team player leading the tax team to top performance, develops and executes tax strategies, and collaborates with the accounting and leadership teams to look for opportunities in process improvement and identify potential risks.  The Tax Manager will ensure compliance with federal, state and international tax law, and monitor current and impending changes to tax regulations, implementing changes within the controls/systems to report accurately. The perfect candidate will be dedicated to ensuring compliance, being a team-oriented professional and striving for high achievement.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Facilitate and manage the preparation and review company federal/state/city tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms.
  • Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state and local income tax returns and other business-related filings.
  • Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and other tax documents.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
  • Preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including tax impacts of acquisitions/divestitures, and Provision to Return analysis using Corptax Provision.
  • Support the business from a tax perspective with acquisitions/divestitures and determine tax implications of M&A transactions.

What You Bring

  • BS/BA in Accounting required plus CPA.  Master’s degree in Tax or Accounting a plus!
  • 5+ years of experience in preparing/reviewing consolidated federal and state corporate income tax returns; experience of technical and practical knowledge of corporate income tax and accounting for income taxes. Public Accounting preferred.
  • Proficiency in digital literacy with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with SAP, Adobe Acrobat, analytical tools like Alteryx, Power Query, and dashboard tools like Tableau, and CorpTax provision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organization and follow-up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all commitments.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
