SE DC APB PLM is providing reliable and cost-efficient PLM IT Solutions to the Siemens Energy business. While the team is continuously improving the delivery and the implementation of these solutions, we are as well working on new technologies, improving security measures, and enabling worldwide business collaboration.

As a Senior Solution Architect for COMOS, you will collaborate in our global COMOS IT team and serve our internal customers. Siemens Energy hosts a larger number of COMOS environments, with a total of 1600+ users connected.

The work includes, but is not limited to, the support of our helpdesk and the implementation of COMOS projects.

Major challenges for our COMOS team in the near and mid-term future will be around cDB to iDB transition, migration of environments and the harmonization of multiple legacy customizations on the basis of C#.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support our COMOS helpdesk team to familiarize with the different IT processes, COMOS environments and Businesses across Siemens Energy
  • Initiate and develop continuous improvement ideas to optimize the user experience for our Businesses
  • Initiate and develop concepts to support the seamless integration of COMOS data into our PLM landscape, with interfaces towards SAP, Teamcenter and other IT systems
  • Create and present ideas and concepts in internal meetings, decision boards and towards our business stakeholders
  • Request and maintain IT Projects with budget planning, regular budget forecasting and executive project review
  • Ensure knowledge sharing and community building within your area of and across the global PLM team

What You Bring

  • 5+ experience in COMOS administration and development
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology or computer science
  • Good understanding of fundamental COMOS architecture and how to customize COMOS required
  • Advanced C# and Microsoft .Net Framework knowledge required
  • Experience with APIs (RESTful API, OpenAPI) required
  • High level of methods and competence in evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of different solution approaches regarding technical and economic criteria
  • Experience in electrical and/or mechanical plant engineering is a plus
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow processes, esp. Incident Management, Service Request Management and Demand Management, is a plus
  • Solid ITILv4 knowledge required; certification is a plus
  • Strong customer orientation and team-player attitude
  • Ability to work under time constraints and easy adapted to continual change
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft office suite, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational, planning/scheduling, interpersonal, collaboration, communication, and networking skills including cross-cultural abilities
  • Self-starter, self-directed, self-motivated, assertive, and willing to work independently without being prompted
  • Business-fluent English (written and spoken) as well as readiness to travel globally if required is necessary for this role. German language skills are a plus.
