A Snapshot of Your Day:

As a Senior Secondary Design Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will target experienced professionals with a strong background in electrical engineering, particularly those passionate about protection, control, and automation systems. You will engage in meaningful projects that involve preparing and executing secondary engineering activities for substation projects, directly impacting the efficiency and reliability of energy systems for our clients and partners. How You’ll Make an Impact:
  • Prepare and review single line diagrams (SLD) and protection schematics for substation projects.
  • Ensure timely completion of all engineering deliverables and documentation.
  • Interact with vendors to clarify specifications and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct design calculations for CT/VT, DC, and AC system sizing.
  • Perform protection coordination studies using ETAP or equivalent software.
  • Provide technical training and support to clients in line with project requirements.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in secondary engineering.
  • Proficiency in ELCAD and AutoCAD software.
  • Experience with protection, control, and automation systems.
  • Knowledge of national and international engineering standards and codes.
  • Additional training certificates (e.g., E-TAP or equivalent) and previous client approvals.
