We are looking for a Sales Manager in Houston, TX responsible for new unit sales of Siemens Energy industrial steam turbines.
- Responsible for the whole steam turbine sales process including steam turbine selection, cost preparation and price strategy definition.
- Discuss customers steam turbine technical requirements by means of external technical meetings or specification analysis.
- Prepare and minister technical presentations aimed at highlighting Siemens Energy steam turbines technical attributes and create value proposition.
- Create and maintain relationships with key Energy and Industrial customer accounts.
- Prepare internal presentations for project review and proposal approvals as per Siemens Energy guidelines (LoA -Limits of Authority).
- Discuss technical aspects of the project such as power and steam consumption demands, heat exchangers sizing, transportation logistics, etc.
- Responsible for technical and commercial negotiations of steam turbine projects.
- Interface with worldwide factories and engineering departments on product development and shop capacity.
- Support the preparation of the technical offer language for the corresponding to the offered product.
- Analyze technical requests for quotations and/or technical specifications to select the right steam turbine and auxiliary system scope of supply based on customer needs.
- Run thermodynamic calculations to select correct size steam turbine based on customer requirements.
- Interface with Brazilian, European and Indian factories on product selection and costs.
- Participate in project initiation meetings with customers and execution team.
- Prepare win/loss analysis after each firm bid negotiation for market strategy.
- 40% domestic/international travel required.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or related field, and 3 years of experience.
- Experience must include 3 years with: familiarization with workflow related to project development efforts related to the Industrial Steam Turbines including Project Execution, Installation and Commissioning;
- Industry knowledge on Industrial Steam Turbine applications on power plants, mechanical drive, power generation, steam tailing, combined solar plants and combined cycle power plants;
- Experience with Steam Turbine functioning process and mechanical parts.
- Experience must also include: experience with Steam Turbine calculation and Steam Cycle software calculation;
- Proposal/bid management or application engineering;
- Industry knowledge of the Power Plant equipment design;
- Industry knowledge of Hydraulic Units, Centrifugal/Positive Displacement Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Gearbox, Steam Turbine Condensing systems, Generator and Control system equipment, parts and functioning process;
- Industry knowledge of U.S. and Canadian standards and codes applicable for power plants equipment.
- 40% domestic/international travel required.
