A Snapshot of Your Day

The primary purpose of this position is to perform blend repair, recontouring, deburring, removal of residual coating, and disassembly of turbine components. Perform blending and material removal with minimal supervision according to manufacturing and customer requirements.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Blending of Turbine Components
  • Receive assignments, verbal and/or written, from supervision.
  • Read and comprehend traveler, documents, key cards, and other specifications to gather work instructions.
  • Use and maintain blending tools and equipment, including large belt sanders and die grinders.
  • Recognize and replace spent consumable materials such as sanding belts and burrs at appropriate interval.
  • Route and blend turbine components conserving the original contour. Grit and visually inspect parts.

What You Bring 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Entry level position requires experience working in an industrial environment. Knowledge of chemicals, grit blasting, safe machine practices and techniques is beneficial. Ability to use handheld measuring tools.
  • Ability to read, write, complete simple forms, and understand simple written instructions. 
  • Requires the ability to perform math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; also requires the simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, or diagram.
