A Snapshot of Your Day

Inspectors will provide inspection services both in-process and at final to drawing, specification and/or standard operating procedure within the Fort Payne Siemens Energy facility. QA Inspectors will inspect quality records and ensure these are accurate and complete before the part's ship. All findings and nonconformances must be documented in detail via the adequate electronic systems!

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Demonstrate integrity and a commitment to quality by standing up for high quality standards; proactively prevent parts from shipping when quality is a concern.
• Will take critical to quality (CTQ) dimensional measurements, and parameters utilizing standard and special gauging to ensure that product is conforming. Will evaluate quality requirements to specification or drawing.
• Will document detailed findings via Quality Control Instruction (QCI), Quality Notification (QN), a power-point presentation format, or other form of written communication.
• Will validate quality paperwork for accuracies in the Operation Information Landscape (OIL) system, approve complete documents, and upload reports/records to SAP as the need arises.
• Will communicate any out of specification condition followed by a quality hold or Quality Notifications (QN) as warranted. Will create QNs within SAP and task Manufacturing / design / quality engineer (ME/DE/QE) as the need arises.
• Will conduct shop floor audits to ensure process are being followed. Will present results to engineering and management. Will participate in continuous improvement activities, workshops, and events as necessary.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
• A strong quality attitude is essential. Quality background and manufacturing experience are preferred. Candidate will be able to work with minimal direction and should have excellent communication skills verbally and written.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and demonstrate said capability. Must be proficient with gauging (i.e., ID/OD mic’s, depth mic, caliper’s, no-go/go gauges, thickness gauges, verniers, etc.). Must be willing to learn specialty gauging.
• Digital literacy: Microsoft Office proficiency is a requirement (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook). Must have knowledge of SAP, OIL, etc. or show capability to learn these systems in timely fashion.
• Candidate must be willing to cross train in all different tasks in the quality department and work overtime if required. Must be willing to temporarily change shifts for training or production needs. Candidate will perform any other task that management may deem necessary to ensure quality. Candidate will work safely all the time and will report immediately any safety concerns to management.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
