As a Project Engineer specializing in mechanical engineering at Siemens Energy, you will oversee and manage critical projects focused on the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of steam turbines, ensuring that they operate at peak efficiency. How you'll make an Impact
- Plan, coordinate, and execute projects related to the maintenance, repair, and upgrades of steam turbines, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Conduct technical assessments and inspections of steam turbines to identify issues, recommend solutions, and ensure optimal performance.
- Develop detailed project plans that outline project scope, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs, providing technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians and subcontractors, ensuring that project milestones are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Prepare and present comprehensive project reports, including progress updates, technical documentation, and compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in mechanical systems and steam turbine technology.
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of steam turbine systems and components, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a willingness to travel to client sites as required for project execution.
