We are looking for an Innovation Manager in the field of Power-to-X (PtX) energy solution in Siemens Energy Innovation Center Shenzhen. Key skills include proficiency with process and energy system simulation tools, deep knowledge of energy system components, and the capability to perform high-level economic analysis. Additionally, with excellent communication skills, the ability to lead in an agile environment, and strong business acumen.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Located in the regions, closely work with customers and local teams on the development of PtX energy solution.
• Understand the customer needs and translate them in technically and commercially viable solutions.
• Be responsible for the comparison of the different options from a techno-commercial point of view in the early phase of the project.
• Manage customer expectations for system designs, establish exclusivity of SE products/solutions and set project priorities
• Perform first indicative calculation by using PtX tool suite.
• Work with HQ expert team by providing data, local market insights and post-processing of system simulation results for customer presentation, communication and feedback
• Bring together resources from all SE organization and outside of SE (e.g technology providers) to support the development of the concept (e.g., renewable power experts, etc.).
• Work with the local sales team to define the market entry strategies for our new products and services and prepare indicative proposals, including identification of risks with mitigation measures
• Liaise with the team in HQ keeping them update about the market information to support product/service strategy and sharing customer needs and recommendations for solution under development.
• Support the development of the Basis of Design of the customer translating the solution developed in the BoD and remain engaged and keep interacting with customer when the project moves to the firm phase
• Define communication strategy for the new products and services for China and take of internal and external product/service presentations (incl. customer meetings, fairs, sales trainings, management reviews, etc.)

What You Bring

• Chemical process engineering with at least 5 years’ experience in some of these fields Hydrogen, Ammonia, Methanol, F-T process, etc. with traditional technologies.
• Water electrolysis technology and Power to X solutions related working experience is preferred.
• Understanding of the customer industries (Chemical, Fuels, Hydrogen)
• Good knowledge and hands on experience of process & energy system simulation tools (e.g., HYSIM, PSS), Deep understanding of energy system building blocks (within and outside of Siemens Energy portfolio.
• Deep understanding of customer business cases including market boundary conditions. Capability of running high level economics and calculation of Levelized Costs of X.
• Deep understanding of the project development process applied in the chemical and refinery industry to develop projects (e.g., Pre-FEED, FEED, EP, EPC)
• Consulting experience in energy and industry arena would be a plus
• Demonstrated collaborations skills (“cultural broker” capable of bringing together different parts of the organization).
• Demonstrated experience in customer engagement, customer focus, delivering customer-centric solutions and building strong customer relationships.
• Capability to be creative in solution development while understanding the risks and feasibility of technical solutions.
• Experience in commissioning of plants to be able to understand the practical problems of operation.
• Strong communication skills, ability to lead project teams in agile environment as well as a strong business orientation
• Have profound English capabilities in writing and speaking.
