A Snapshot of Your Day
Perform various functions in the form of training or productive tasks with the primary goal of gaining knowledge and understanding of power plant operation and performance trends. Gain knowledge and understanding of how remote monitoring is performed in order to develop improvements to existing process and tools. Collaborate with various team members daily in support of completion of various tool improvement tasks. Use engineering skills to develop and test new methods, calculations, visualization techniques in support of the goal of improving the remote monitoring services the group delivers!
How You’ll Make an Impact
Responsibilities will vary based on skills and interest of the intern. These could include:
- Using python to help program new features in our monitoring tools such as forecasting, machine learning and general improvements.
- Helping set up thermodynamic models to perform performance analysis of power plants.
- Using Seeq to help set up data visualization for different power plants and improve the groups use of the tool.
- Improving the signal mapping and data quality.
What You Bring
- Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or computer science or similar field
- Data analysis and visualization knowledge
- Strong problem-solving abilities and hands-on experience in analytics and troubleshooting are vital. Proficiency in written and verbal communication is also a must.
- Python programming experience and thermodynamics understanding preferred
- Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA and have relevant prior work experience
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
