A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be a driving force in developing and providing innovative and efficient methods to refurbish Siemens’ fleet of brushless exciters as well as provide new equipment for the emerging needs within North America. At times, you will be on the shop floor ensuring the operators have all the necessary tools and equipment to perform their duties and when needed, take a hands-on approach to meet production demands.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Ensure manufacturing processes are clearly defined and communicated from manufacturing engineering to the shop floor via technical instructions, GMSs, etc.
- Develop and implement product-specific manufacturing processes utilizing sound engineering judgment and methodologies
- Provide technical guidance and training to new and experienced engineers, operators, technicians
- Communicate with order engineering to understand requirements, optimize product design for manufacture, and communicate process deviations (non-conformances)
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and meeting Siemens Energy expectations.
- Promote and participate in continuous improvement/lean activities that meet operational excellence expectations. And understand how to extract information contained in SAP (Quality notifications, drawing retrieval, line-up printing, material status, etc.)
What You Bring
● BS or master’s in engineering discipline
● Three or more years of experience in providing technical oversight in a manufacturing environment, preferably supporting the power generation industry. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
- Prior exposure to brushless excitation manufacturing and nomenclature is a plus
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Working experience with computers – including SAP and Microsoft Office software.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
