A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Lean Expert, you will be instrumental in establishing and championing the continuous improvement culture at our new Power Transformer factory in Charlotte, North Carolina. With a lean vision and strategy at the heart of our operations, your expertise is essential to ensuring its successful execution. This is a unique, once-in-a-career opportunity to demonstrate your diverse experiences in lean and manufacturing to build a comprehensive continuous improvement program from the ground up.
This role will be based at our new Power Transformer factory in Charlotte, North Carolina and will initially coincide with the factory’s construction. During this phase, we will focus on developing our processes, refining our offerings, and collaborating closely with a high-performance team. This will involve all aspects of the commercial setup to ensure we are well-prepared to meet the needs of our customers effectively when factory operations start.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Cascade and execute the factory’s Vision and Strategy and create a structured Continuous Improvement program.
- Manage projects and facilitate kaizen’s that support the factory’s Strategy.
- Train and coach colleagues in lean concepts and champion a continuous improvement mindset.
- Support all applicable aspects of the factory startup including, flow and layout, training, production planning, visual management, and value stream mapping.
- Collaborate with digitalization and business process team members to develop innovative systems and solutions.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates with additional experience may be considered for higher-level positions.
- In-depth knowledge of lean methodologies and proven success in developing and implementing continuous improvement programs.
- Proficiency in cascading Vision and Strategy, creating and using Value Stream Maps (VSMs), visual management, and developing structured approaches to continuous improvement.
- Exceptional facilitation skills and experience collaborating with teams from the shop floor to factory-level management.
- Experience in low volume, high complexity manufacturing and engineer-to-order products is a plus.
- Candidates must be willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC, if they are not already based in the area.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
