A Snapshot of Your Day 

As a front face for Siemens Energy, you will develop strong relationships with clients, identify business opportunities, enhance market transparency, and increase customer satisfaction. You will explore standard, program business and complex projects sales opportunities for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generator services as well as lead the preparation of complete and accurate techno-commercial bids to meet the Sales Target Agreement.

Siemens Energy Gas Services delivers service solutions for gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, compressors, blowers, and pumps to increase efficiency, reliability, and availability throughout the entire lifecycle of customers’ assets. We partner with our customers to achieve optimal performance and success by offering maintenance services, modernizations and upgrades, remote monitoring, lifetime extensions and condition monitoring to logistical and turnkey services for onshore and offshore rotating equipment.

How You’ll Make an Impact / Responsibilities

  • Engage with customer early in key drivers’ definition, challenges, decision process to gain influence on decision criteria by applying win-win philosophy. Understand the value chain and Business model of the main players and customers in the countries and the political aspects of the industry
  • Evaluate customer specifications and determine the marketing and pricing strategy
  • Act as first level of escalation for all technical-, commercial cases and issues for projects (during lead management, bidding, negotiations, and execution), as well as influence collaboration within the organization to secure customer support
  • Understand the Middle East Power Market and available product portfolio
  • Coordinate the project activities with the internal organization (Product Competence Centers, Engineering, Project Management, Product Management, Regional Hub, Logistics, Supply Chain, etc.), as well as external stakeholders (consultants, law firms, consortium partners, customers)
  • Responsibility for the contract process including complex contract negotiations and managing the internal approval process
  • Support digital solutions applicable to rotating equipment
  • Provide regional inputs into the product development process
  • Sustain frequent contact with customer to maintain the relationship even in the absence of concrete new project opportunities
  • Gathers market and customer information and derive strategies for identification and development of new project opportunities
  • Develop country profiles including basic country information, macroeconomic data, market drivers (political, economic, social, business)
  • In all your dealings you will work in line with the Company’s compliance and business conduct policies Develop a structured presentation including clear objectives, agenda, storyline, and summary of key messages and presents it to various audiences in person or virtually

What You Bring / Skills, Capabilities

  • Relevant Engineering University degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering
  • Very good knowledge of power generation business (minimum 2 years of experience) as well as relevant sales experience in servicing rotating equipment (gas turbines, steam turbines, generators,), preferably in the large turbine market
  • Can understand customer requirements and can communicate these effectively within the organization
  • Have a self-motivated drive to enhance customer satisfaction and to reach the sales targets
  • Run economic analysis and business cases for key customers. Apply a variety of methods to identify risk areas and impacts. Define appropriate mitigations and control (the pricing of) risks
  • You have good negotiation skills with the ability to manage internal and external stake holders positively
  • You have sharp analytical skills to review cost estimates and have positive discussions with commercial and proposal teams. Knowledge of profit and loss accounts is a plus
  • You are a strategic think tank and an expert in value-add selling
  • You have excellent time management skills and are an out of the box thinker with a creative approach to problem solving
  • You are open to work with people from different cultural backgrounds and have demonstrated ability to work as a team player
  • You are resilient and respond with a positive attitude when under pressure
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Excellent English. German and/or Arabic are a plus
