Sobre a função
A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be part of the Performance and Analytics department who provide system-level guidance towards innovative solutions for aero-derivative gas turbines. In your role as a Performance Specialist, you will contribute to the design and development of robust, flexible, and highly efficient gas turbine engines by developing and operating thermodynamic models, monitoring, and analyzing engine tests, and trending performance results. You will be involved in the highest level of troubleshooting and failure investigation, taking an active role in supporting existing customers as well as proposing solutions to reduce the environmental impact of our products through cycle changes including the use of alternate fuels. To achieve this, you’ll work in multidisciplinary teams using commercial and proprietary tools to perform analyses of operational data throughout the product lifecycle.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will study customer needs, existing analytical work, and best practice guidance to help decide on how to solve problems using models that you develop and use.
- You will look for opportunities to build on prior knowledge when generating solutions.
- You will help to understand and quantify project and technical risk.
- You will take part in root cause investigations.
- You will represent the Performance & Analytics skill and make recommendations to Project Managers, Product Managers, Technical Support Service, and the Engineering community.
What You Bring
- You have a bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or another discipline relevant to performance engineering.
- You are fluent in English.
- You are interested in thermodynamics, gas turbine performance principles and analytical methods.
- You have an inquisitive nature and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- You are motivated by contributing to multi-disciplinary teams and the development of innovative engineering solutions.
