A Snapshot of Your Day

The Financial Analyst will develop financial models and implement procedures to ensure accurate financial and strategic plans. They will support the Financial Manager in monthly closings, journal entry, general ledger, forecasts, and data analysis. The chosen candidate will provide analysis of business models and strategies. The Financial Analyst will work with time constraints, be able to respond creatively to situations impacting financial performance and take ownership of their work. The ability to strive for standardized solutions and automate templates will allow all involved parties to be more productive!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Undertake issues requiring detailed research and creativity to result in more productive approaches to issues evolving from financial and operational systems and processes.
  • Develop a conceptual framework which can be used to assess various issues and conflicts that will arise from normal day to day department activities.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful to achieve goals, be proactive in problem solving, and work closely with various business partners.

What You Bring

  • Accredited 4-year degree in Business Administration with emphasis in accounting, finance & economics, or another business-related field is required; Master's degree, MBA, CPA, CMA, or other advanced degree such as Master of Accounting (completed or in process) is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience in related field is required; candidates with more experience may be eligible for a more senior level role.
  • Cost accounting, cost controlling, budgeting and planning experience is required; Detailed knowledge of accounting principles and financial policies/procedures is strongly preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of SAP systems for financial reporting, order entry, and project performance is required.
  • Candidate must possess strong analytical skills to review market trends, competitor data, and provide the necessary variance analysis to predict outcomes to recommend corrective actions.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
