A Snapshot of Your Day 

As a key member of the dynamic Siemens Energy Commercial Project Management team, you will make critical decisions daily, driving projects valued between €50 million and €350 million toward successful completion. Your role is important in helping both the project and the customer achieve their goals—energizing the world by implementing our innovative solutions within calculated budgets.
In this role, you’ll experience a diverse range of responsibilities. One day, you might negotiate virtually with clients and subcontractors in the morning, followed by discussions on process and cost improvements internally and externally. In the afternoon, you’ll dive into commercial KPIs, updating relevant systems to ensure the accuracy of our forecasts within Siemens Energy.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Coordinate the overall project financial performance, provide insight into commercial/financial analysis, and improve results together with the project manager
  • Act as the commercial partner of the project manager, lead the development and analysis of project business data for decision-making and customer negotiation (e.g., revenue/cost analysis, risk/opportunity analysis, business result optimization)
  • Ensure accuracy of project books and records, prepare commercial documentation for regular project status meetings, and conduct contract discussions on commercial aspects, including setting up and supporting claim management
  • Implement international shipments and deliveries, handle and control subcontractors, including working with factories, and handle bond and guarantee management/foreign currency management
  • Streamline and improve structures and business processes within the project management organization to ensure effective communication and collaboration with different stakeholders
  • Serve as the financial guide within the project management team, ensure the implementation of company financial guidelines and compliance with local accounting principles and tax regulations
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a strong academic foundation in financial accounting.
  • Extensive experience in Commercial Project Management, holding a commercial certification will be a plus
  • Strong commercial skills with the ability to grasp the business implications behind the data.
  • In-depth understanding of IFRS and HGB, including their key differences.
  • Exceptional communication skills in German and English, both verbal and written.
