A snapshot of your day

As an Equipment Engineer at Siemens Gamesa, your day will involve supporting the introduction of new equipment and the improvement of existing equipment within wind turbine and blade manufacturing. You will work closely with the factory to ensure standardized production, develop processes for new projects, and optimize equipment uptime. Collaborating with the maintenance department, you will troubleshoot complex issues and design engineering solutions, while also sharing knowledge with global teams based in Denmark and other factories.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Develop process-based equipment and enhance blade manufacturing operations.
  • Create and review specifications for new and upgraded equipment.
  • Support factory/site acceptance testing and the commissioning of new or upgraded equipment.
  • Assist the maintenance department in fault finding and achieving equipment uptime targets.
  • Upgrade existing equipment to ensure safe and optimal performance.
  • Ensure best practice sharing across shifts and factories globally.
  • Collaborate with global engineering, maintenance functions, suppliers, and contractors.

What you bring

  • A passion for renewable energy and a commitment to leading change in the industry.
  • A focus on health and safety as an essential aspect of your work.
  • Ideally, a degree in Electrical Engineering or HNC with significant experience.
  • Experience in reviewing and improving equipment and infrastructure in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • PLC/Drive experience is preferred.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to lead by example.
  • Experience in creating risk assessments and technical documentation.
  • A good team player with excellent communication skills.
