The Data Architect serves as a key link between the business and IT organizations, supporting global Power Generation sales and bidding processes through data and analytics solutions. The role focuses on analysing data flows, establishing data products for the Siemens Energy Data Catalog, and ensuring compliance with data lineage and governance standards. The Data Architect also translates business needs into digital solutions, defines requirements for development teams, oversees solution delivery, and validates outcomes to ensure alignment with business objectives.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

 
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements related to global Power Generation sales and bidding processes, translating business needs into effective digital solutions and clear requirement stories for development teams.
  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions, including dashboards, data analysis, and data modeling, to identify trends, generate insights, and support business decision-making and strategy.
  • Create and manage data products for the Siemens Energy Data Catalog, covering customer relationship management and bid management data, while ensuring efficient data flows and compliance with data governance and data lineage standards.
  • Driving continuous improvement in data creation, sharing, and utilization across organizational units, tools, and databases, challenging existing practices to maximize efficiency and business value.
  • Design advanced analytics solutions using artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to deliver capabilities that support the full business value chain.
  • Drive the rollout and adoption of digital solutions by monitoring development progress, validating results against business requirements, communicating insights to technical and non-technical audiences, and delivering training for key user groups
 

What You Bring

 
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a similar role
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, combined with deep knowledge of data analysis techniques, data science workflows, statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, data modeling, and data lineage principles.
  • Experience working with modern data platforms and data lake technologies, such as Snowflake, and familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions, supported by knowledge of Customer Relationship Management processes, including responsibilities and roles within the Limit of Authority framework.
  • Passion for data and analytics, with a demonstrated interest in driving the adoption and effective use of data across all areas of the business and its broader ecosystem.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and international teams, clients, consortium partners, and suppliers; excellent English language skills are required. Project management experience, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, is considered an advantage.
