A Snapshot of Your Day

  • Manages processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFQs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution.
  • Approves and qualifies vendors to fulfill company requirements, Responds to client issues or problems, Authorizes purchase orders and approves payments to ensure the procurement process goes efficiently.
  • Analyzes and reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices, Prepares and reviews request for proposals (RFQP) and bid packages.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Get along with suppliers to communicate delivery expectations, forecasts, design changes, lead time management, and material expedites or delays to ensure suppliers meet Supplier On Time Delivery (OTD) goals.
  • Drive cost reduction and cost avoidance opportunities, Involved with strategic sourcing team to align negotiations, new supplier selection, and Supply Chain strategy.
  • Review purchase requisitions, place purchase orders, issue change notices, review exception messages to ensure delivery of materials or services as vital to implement to production schedules.
  • Use MRP and EOQ abilities for buying appropriate quantities, Maintain material master records for assigned materials; ensure accurate PTR records, source lists, and promptly reconcile supplier invoices for payment.
  • Review and maintain internal/external vendor handled programs, direct ship programs, scheduling agreements and blanket orders, Provide root cause corrective action when needed, , Participate and lead continuous improvement opportunities, Proactively avoid material shortages
  • Expedite part shortages, Review and maintain purchase order date accuracy and maintain MRP accuracy/health, Work cross functionally to resolve complaints and clear blocks; trouble-shoot, Source parts with suppliers
  • Proactively drive root cause corrective action (RCCA) with the supply base, Drive tail spend management strategies, Provide real time status on key parts shortages and/or expedites
  • Awareness of supplier base on Fabrications, valve, pump & piping items and Consumables, Commodity management, Involved with global commodity team to align negotiations, new supplier selection, and Supply Chain strategy.
  • Costing expertise across different commodity, Working with finance for Standard cost , SCM budgeting and supervise PVO monthly, Hands on MS office tools like Excel , PPT and Tableau for MIS reporting
  • Negotiation capability with suppliers on data with cost breakup of RM , OH , logistics etc .

What You Bring

  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent with 12 to 15 years of proven experience
  • Preferred skills: Costing, negotiations, Commodity management, familiarity with SAP
