A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Buyer, you will execute and coordinate operational purchasing activities across European countries to secure cost-efficient, compliant, and reliable supply. The role ensures that customer requests, workflow transactions, purchase requisitions, and supplier interactions are managed with high quality, agreed cycle times, and strong stakeholder satisfaction. Beyond transactional excellence, the role actively contributes to regional procurement transparency, supplier performance management, process standardization, and AI-enabled productivity improvements across the European procurement landscape.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Process and coordinate purchase requests for European demand by creating, releasing, and following up on purchase orders to suppliers. Manage purchase orders across the region, including tracking, expediting, delivery clarification, and escalation of supply risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate professionally with European and global suppliers on delivery dates, order confirmations, documentation, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance, identify recurring issues, escalate risks, and support corrective actions together with stakeholders. Maintain and update supplier master data and procurement-related information to ensure accurate, reliable, and compliant data quality.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and low-threshold commercial agreements within defined procurement governance and approval limits.
  • Support regional demand bundling, MoQ optimization, PO consolidation, and other cost-efficiency measures across European business requirements. Act as a reliable regional interface between internal customers, project teams, factories, finance, logistics, quality, and global procurement stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to internal procurement processes, compliance requirements, documentation standards, and country-specific particularities in Europe. Actively drive process optimization and standardization opportunities, including automation, digital workflows, and AI-supported procurement improvements.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Data / Business Analytics is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, engineering, operations, or manufacturing functions, preferably in an international or European regional environment.
  • Experience with procurement systems and workflows such as SAP, Ariba, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Excel, or comparable digital procurement platforms is beneficial.
  • Strong AI literacy: confident and responsible use of generative AI tools to support sourcing preparation, supplier communication drafts, data summarization, reporting, and decision support. Ability to identify practical AI and automation use cases in daily procurement work, especially for repetitive tasks, data checks, status updates, risk alerts, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Digital mindset with hands-on experience or strong interest in digitalizing and automating procurement processes, improving data quality, and creating transparent workflows.
  • Analytical strength to interpret procurement data, supplier performance indicators, delivery risks, and commercial information to derive clear actions and recommendations. Responsible data handling and awareness of compliance, confidentiality, and governance requirements when using digital and AI-enabled tools.
