You have checked the data records of a purchase requisition in SAP and reported the conversion back to the requisitioner. Now you check the worklist and the mailbox for new tasks to be completed. You receive order confirmations from a supplier and coordinate the data with the development project.

In the team meeting, you discuss the challenges involved in implementing the tasks with the other colleagues and work out solutions together, e.g. acquiring new suppliers who are suitable to produce test parts. In the afternoon, you prepare tomorrow's meeting on the continuous improvement of the procurement process.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

• Creating, checking and completing purchase requisitions in SAP, including determining prices and suitable sources of supply
• Determining prices and suitable sources of supply / suppliers for test parts and initial samples as part of inquiries
• Independent clarification of necessary technical designs and critical quality requirements based on technical drawings, parts lists, etc. for the appropriate request for quotation
• Carrying out price comparisons and negotiations
• Monitoring of order confirmations, delivery dates and, if necessary, reminders to suppliers

What You Bring

• You have a degree in Logistics, Planning, Scheduling, or related field, or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrated track record of extensive experience in procurement, with a preference for purchasing within a technical domain
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position with basic IT skills (MS Office) and company-specific applications in SAP
• Sound knowledge of operational processes and the range of components
• The ability and willingness to acquire missing knowledge and to ask for support if necessary
• Assertiveness, flexibility, respect, fairness, empathy and sensitivity as well as a high level of self-motivation
• The ability to manage several tasks simultaneously
• Creativity, willingness to innovate and entrepreneurial understanding, conscientious work paired with pragmatism and a hands-on mentality
• Business fluent communication in German and English
