We are seeking an expert-level Sales Manager to drive the sales of highly engineered compressor trains within the oil&gas and relevant market in China and overseas. This role is pivotal in developing new customer accounts, nurturing long-term strategic relationships, and achieving ambitious sales targets.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Be a master in their professional discipline, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles for high-value industrial equipment.
  • Own the entire sales process, from identifying and qualifying opportunities in the early Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase to leading final contract negotiations.
  • Develop winning sales strategies to drive business results.
  • Define target pricing for products and solutions.
  • Prepare detailed budgetary proposals for clients.
  • Maintain meticulous and accurate records in the company’s CRM system.
  • Adopt a proactive and strategic approach to understand customer needs.
  • Effectively position the company’s solutions against competitors in the market.
  • Collaborate closely with internal functional teams, including engineering, project management, and legal.
  • Ensure proposals are robust and client inquiries and clarifications are handled expertly.
  • Strictly adhere to internal compliance policies and project management frameworks throughout the sales process.
  • Contribute to expanding the company’s market share through strategic sales wins.
  • Conduct detailed post-sale analysis to support continuous improvement and future business growth.

What You Bring

  • 40% Strategic Sales and Business Development
    • Develop and cultivate new and existing customer relationships to establish strong business intimacy and drive repeat business.
    • Achieve defined sales targets for compressor trains within the downstream general ASU market.
    • Identify and qualify new business opportunities, particularly during the early FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) phase.
    • Define target pricing, provide accurate sales intelligence, and develop winning strategies for key opportunities.
  • 40% Sales Cycle Management and Execution
    • Lead the entire sales cycle, including the preparation of budgetary proposals with support from functional teams.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity and forecast data in the CRM tool (Salesforce).
    • Organize and lead project milestone meetings (e.g., Go/No-Go, Bid/No-Bid) and clarification sessions with clients.
    • Lead final contract negotiations to secure project awards and complete the order entry checklist.
  • 20% Compliance and Process Adherence
    • Ensure all sales activities are conducted in strict compliance with company policies and ethical guidelines.
    • Operate within the company's project management (PM) and electronic Letter of Approval (eLOA) process frameworks.
    • Participate in win/loss analysis meetings to identify key learnings and improve future sales performance.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Turbomachinery.
  • Over 5 years of professional experience in a technical sales role, preferably within the turbomachinery or oil & gas industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in a large multinational company is preferred.
  • A technical background or specific experience in air separation technology is considered a strong advantage.
