A Snapshot of Your Day

In a normal day, you will execute software maintenance projects on distributed control systems used on our global fleet of power plants. You will be responsible for the remote installation of system software, application and security patches on I&C systems. Through your work, you will implement software updates and corrective measures, enabling Siemens Energy customers to have a secure, reliable and up-to-date control system.

As a software maintenance engineer, you will contribute to Siemens Energy’s strategic mission of keeping critical infrastructure safe while minimizing environmental impact.

Every day, you will have the opportunity to interact with customers from all over the world and be exposed to different cultures. You will be a member of an international team, spread across Germany, Hungary and Malaysia, where collaboration, mutual respect and willingness to achieve common goals are the core of our daily life.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You will be responsible for the execution of software maintenance projects on distributed control system (Omnivise T3000) units. Software maintenance projects consist of the installation of application, system and security patches, officially released and tested by the Siemens Energy development department.

You will be responsible for the ad-hoc implementation of corrective measures on control system units, to ensure software integrity and efficiency.

You will be responsible for the installation and configuration of cyber-security software or architectural components, such as application whitelisting virtual machines, network intrusion detection systems and security information and event management tools. With your technical contribution, you will enhance the level of cyber protection of power plants.

You will be responsible for the planning and coordination phases of software maintenance projects, ensuring the achievement of high-quality standards and leveraging synergies with end customers and regional Siemens Energy counterparts.

You will be the first point of contact for software maintenance projects related to the Omnivise T3000 platform for our customers on a global scale.

  • You will help make energy systems up to date, less vulnerable and more reliable.
