- Develop, test, and support various internal MATLAB/Simulink tools to enhance Siemens Energy's model-based engineering activities in the HVDC/FACTS business.
- Develop and maintain Simulink Coder/Embedded Coder targets and MATLAB software frameworks.
- Design graphical user interfaces and set up CI/CD environments.
- Write documentation, provide technical support, and communicate with MathWorks.
- Be proactive in identifying bottlenecks in the current model-based software development process. Research, recommend, and implement tools to continually enhance development productivity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including electrical engineers and control experts.
- Participate in team meetings, such as daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprint reviews, and design discussions.
- University degree in Computer Science, Programming, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of MATLAB/Simulink experience and PSCAD modeling.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and proficiency with Git.
- Knowledge in DevOps, particularly Continuous Integration and Delivery.
- Familiarity with Lean/Agile software development processes and experience working in an agile team.
- Strong analytical skills, initiative, and excellent English language skills. German language skills are an advantage.
