The global market for grid technologies is experiencing tremendous growth, and if you want to be a part of this exciting environment, we invite you to join our global Grid Technologies Communications team as Senior Trade Media Relations Specialist. In this role, you’ll use your storytelling and amplification skills to spotlight the important role of transmission grids in the energy transition. You will lead trade media relations for Siemens Energy’s Grid Technologies Business Area globally.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Advise and support the Grid Technologies leaders and experts in matters relating to trade media relations.
  • Position the company and its leaders and experts as thought leaders in the energy industry and specifically grid technologies.
  • Develop and execute strategic trade media relations plans to promote our projects, achievements, and thought leadership in the energy/grid technologies industry.
  • Write and distribute engaging trade press releases, articles, and blog posts that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trade journalists, industry influencers, and trade media outlets to ensure our voice is heard in the energy conversation.
  • Monitor industry trends, news, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for proactive communication and storytelling.
  • Closely collaborate with others in the communications team, the corporate Media Relations department, Marketing, Sales and others to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and materials and to create the biggest impact for Siemens Energy.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in media relations or public relations, preferably within the energy or technology sectors.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and simplify complex information.
  • Strong understanding of the energy landscape and market trends. Outstanding team player who takes initiative and is results-oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with media personnel.Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication strategies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of current trends in media and communications. Familiarity with analytics tools to measure media coverage and engagement.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
