A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our distributed team specializing in Artificial Intelligence, where you will be involved in challenging projects spanning the energy industry! By combining strategic and business insights with sophisticated probabilistic solutions, domain know-how, and novel modeling techniques, you own the development of methodologies and tools for sophisticated decision-making that improve the sustainability and reliability of products, solutions, and services for our customers.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- As part of our distributed team, you lead the development of sophisticated probabilistic solutions for applications along the value-chain as a Subject Matter Expert
- You investigate novel modeling techniques to optimize product design and service concepts in close collaboration with domain and you ensure that the tools and methods are broadly applicable across various areas of the business
- You consult the Product Owners in delivering projects and you document and share methods, processes, and project results. You regularly communicate and present your findings.
- You coach and mentor junior team members and the business in the application and implementation of new methods for probabilistic analysis, machine learning, and optimization.
- You keep up to date with the latest developments in physics-based modelling, sophisticated statistics, and data science principles and theories to support the business in making truly data-driven decisions
- In a partner ecosystem, you collaborate with universities, research institutes, and other industrial players, prepare funding proposals and engage in joint research projects
What You Bring
- Advanced/PhD degree in one of the following fields: Computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or more than 7 years of experience with a degree.
- 5+ years’ experience in an industry-related environment in the field of Numerical Simulations, Data Science, or Machine Learning, ideally in the energy sector
- Excellent analytical skills and profound expertise in statistical modeling (e.g. uncertainty quantification, failure and reliability analysis, maximum likelihood estimation) and you showcase outstanding programming skills (e.g. Python, C/C++, R) for constructing data-driven and model building based on physics
- Great teammate with a strong ability to work independently, rapidly iterate on ideas, and quickly develop and validate proof-of-concepts; you have the ability to lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary research team and collaborate optimally with diverse collaborators, in a global & multicultural environment.
- You have excellent writing and communication skills in English, knowledge of any other language is a plus. Experience with public-funded research proposals is desired.
