A Snapshot of Your Day
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as the Senior Director Business Development (f/m/d) for Reciprocating Compression. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for driving the global business development strategy for our reciprocating compression division. You will lead a team of business development professionals and work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, expand market share, and achieve revenue growth targets.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Development and execution of a comprehensive global business development strategy for the reciprocating compression division, aligned with Siemens Energy Compression's overall business objectives
- Identification and evaluation of new business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs to drive growth and profitability
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to enhance Siemens Energy's market position and competitive advantage
- Support and mentoring of a team of sales or business development professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance management to achieve team and individual goals
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and product management, to develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies
- Conducting market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential risks and opportunities
- Additional responsibilities are preparing and presenting business development plans, proposals, and reports to senior management, representing Siemens Energy at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings, monitoring and analyzing KPIs, and ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the energy or industrial sector and work experience spanning at least 2 major reciprocating compression OEM is required
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing global business development initiatives and achieving revenue growth targets
- Strong understanding of the reciprocating compression market, including key players, technologies, and industry trends
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and managing multiple priorities
