The candidate will be tasked with dismantling, cleansing, inspecting, and documenting the initial conditions of rotating compressor equipment, and reassembling them. The role demands teamwork within a team to ensure all projects are safely and accurately completed, surpassing customer expectations. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds as part of the job’s physical requirements.
- Strategically use precision measuring tools like micrometers and gauges.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and quality policies during everyday operations.
- Maintain shop equipment and manage daily cleaning to keep a tidy and safe workspace.
- Apply basic problem-solving techniques to identify issues, analyze causes, and implement the most effective solutions.
- Disassemble, clean, and inspect compressors, accurately logging technical data for repair proposals.
- Dismantle and evaluate rotating machinery, compiling lists of parts for replacement.
- Commit to safe work practices and continual policy compliance.
- Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn, with flexibility to work across different product lines.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Mechanical proficiency with experience using standard inspection and measurement tools.
- Availability for night and weekend shifts for urgent projects.
- Own basic tools and measuring instruments for shop projects.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Outlook.
- A focus on safety and quality, capable of working independently and following detailed instructions.
- Ability to solve assembly and setup issues with little technical supervision.
- Understanding of blueprints and technical drawings, with knowledge of general tolerances.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
