The Finance Head of Manufacturing is responsible for supervising all financial aspects of the manufacturing operations. This role encompasses planning, analyzing financial data, crafting budgets, and ensuring financial compliance to support manufacturing operations and business goals!
How you'll make an impact
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support manufacturing operations
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making
- Prepare and lead budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
- Supervise and control manufacturing costs to ensure efficiency and profitability
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with manufacturing operations
- Performance Monitoring
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to align financial goals with operational objectives
- Provide financial leadership and mentorship to the manufacturing department
- Ensure accurate financial justification and return on investment (ROI) analysis
What you bring
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is helpful
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role within a manufacturing environment
- Proven understanding of financial regulations and standards
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in the use of financial software and ERP systems
- Validated experience in leading financial operations in a manufacturing setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in cost management and operational improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of Lean, Quality, Health & Safety, and environmental issues
- Authority to approve financial transactions within departmental guidelines
- Ability to make recommendations to senior management on financial matters
- Responsibility for ensuring financial compliance and leading financial risks
