A Snapshot of Your Day

Control Engineer will craft control systems to support Siemens complete range of industrial gas turbine products. The ideal candidate will have design and field engineering experience in the oil and gas and power generation industry for E&I package and Control systems engineering. · Proficiency to handle Aero derivative Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine & Compressor control system, handle reverse engineering, code migration, develop solution for reinvent and retrofit projects etc. of various control system for Gas turbine, Steam Turbine & Compressor.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • AGT Control system (FT125) programming & HMI development (FT210), test & verification, responsible for basic control system design engineering: Control narrative, I/O or signal list, alarm & trip matrix, function diagram, sequence diagrams, Cause & Effect etc.
  • Ability to adapt and implement task on short notice, Review client specifications, identify special requirements over standard requirement for engineering of Instrumentation / Control systems
  • Review of PLC hardware & software quotations, Experience in FAT, SAT, Commissioning of Control System, Work with designers/drafters on detailed design (e.g. schematics, electrical interface, single line diagrams, BOM’s etc.).
  • Work as a detail engineer for control panel to deliver UCP design documents e.g. circuit diagram, terminal diagram & panel GA etc, responsible to deliver requirements, risk review, design, drawings and BOM’s on time to meet schedule.
  • Work closely with Design Authorities and present the solution in design reviews, balance multiple projects, Liaise with procurement and suppliers to source systems and vital components with Global Procurement Specification.
  • Work with assembly personnel to optimize design for manufacturing, resolve any customer issues and support thru installation, define design requirements in accordance with contract specifications and desired performance.
  • Must be well versed in the practical application of industry codes, certification requirements and standards for different regions and countries (API, UL, CSA, ASME, ATEX, IEC, etc.)

What You Bring

  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience in Engineering and Installation, commissioning with Oil & Gas / Energy sector preferably with Gas Turbines / Turbo-machines
  • Software skills mainly: Siemens PCS7 and WinCC, Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000, Aveva InTouch HMI (Wonderware different versions)
  • Other Software: Det-Tronics & Bentley Navada configuration software, Siemens SIMATIC Manager (STEP 7), Siemens Energy T3000
  • Experienced with certification and code requirements, proven experience working within a technical team environment, Outstanding phenomenal teammate, good communicator and proactive.
  • Ability to travel internationally, Industry knowledge in oil & gas applications, should have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exposure to Siemens or Rolls-Royce aeroderivative gas turbine, Hands-on programming experience in Siemens RS Logix 5000 & PCS7, Working experience with different PLC design and communication.
  • Exposure to Engineering of electrical items and instruments shall be preferred, Familiarity with design and functioning of turbo compressors, gas turbines and its packaging shall be preferred.
