As a Project Engineer (f/m/d) at Siemens Energy, you will work in project teams and implement ideas and opportunities. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Coordination and design of industrial automation systems in accordance with applicable standards and customer specifications
- Development of technical concepts, specifications and interface descriptions using specialized engineering tools
- Focus on integration of IT/OT cybersecurity solutions and planning of digital bus communication, LAN networks and gateways in various areas such as MV/LV own consumption, air conditioning ventilation, cooling systems, fire alarm systems, camera systems and intrusion protection
- Preparation and processing of electro technical components, hardware and signaling integration in the scope of delivery
- Customer, consultant and subcontractor contact as well as internal partner communication
- Clarifications with subcontractors during production, installation and commissioning
- Scheduling and cost budgeting for electro technical components and systems
- Preparation and coordination of appropriate documentation
What You Bring
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, computer science or a similar field of study
- Professional experience in the engineering of IT/OT cybersecurity solutions and network communication is an advantage, but also suitable for career starters
- Understanding of the relevant national and international normative ISO/IEC IT security requirements (e.g. BDEW, NERC-CIP, IEC62443)
- Knowledge in configuration of network components (e.g. Cisco, Ruggedcom)
- Experience in cybersecurity with risk analysis, concepts, hardening, testing and vulnerability management
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as IEC 61850, 60870-5-191/104, Modbus TCP/RTU, ProfiNet, Profibus, OPC and DNP
