As part of your role, you will be actively involved in supporting development of the wind industry to create green energy for generations to come. Join our global team that has a vision for renewable energy and help us to be ready to face the energy challenges of tomorrow.

For our NE&ME Project Procurement department under the Crane and installation Category, we are looking for a Project Commodity Manager. You will be a part of the team of project procurement professionals, integrated in the NE&ME region and give service to Project Management, in order to ensure successful sourcing of crane and installation services for Onshore wind farm projects to be installed.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

·       You are responsible for coordinating the procurement activities in the areas of cranes and site installation for the portfolio of projects of Onshore in the North and Central European markets
·       You are handling the tendering and awarding processes of specific projects in close cooperation with the involved parties
·       You are responsible for defining and implementing negotiation approaches and strategies
·       You will work with and develop an international suppliers’ base. The coordination takes place with the team of experts and key stakeholders to support the procurement process
·       According to requirements you are involving the management to coordinate awarding and negotiation strategies
·       You are preparing, executing, and moderating awarding negotiations which includes concluding the contract as well as reporting, also by using advanced negotiation concepts 
·       You are ensuring that the contents of the contracts are reflected back-to-back in supplier offers and supplier contracts
·       You are ensuring throughout the project installation phase that the execution of the contract is in line with the demands from the Project team
·       You are supporting the Project team in clarifying non conformances and manage claims if needed

What You Bring

  •  Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change 
  • You have received a university degree ideally in Civil Engineering. Other fields such as Business Administration, Economics or Engineering are also welcome 
  • You have at least 5 years of work experience in the area of procurement, preferably within construction or logistics, combined with good analytical skills. Alternatively, you worked in sales (e.g. as proposal manager/engineer) or project management for an energy or construction company 
  • You have good knowledge around contract law and possess strong negotiating skills, especially in international business relationships 
  • You have good technical and commercial skills 
  • You have got a service mindset, are capable to build bridges to your internal clients (Project Management and Sales organizations) 
  • You are able to work independently and in a structured way 
  • You are able to communicate fluently in English at all levels of the organization. German as well as any Nordic or Central – Eastern European language are a plus
