A Snapshot of Your Day 

As an Major Account Sales Manager, will be responsible for leading and developing major customer accounts, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the UK/Global market. This role requires a deep understanding of the energy sector, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities. Key to success will be building and implementing a long term account plan co-developed with the customer. 


How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities using CRM tools, providing regular updates to management and addressing customer requirements promptly.
  • Governance and Integrity: Adhere to the company’s governance and compliance standards, upholding Siemens Energy’s integrity expectations.
  • Collaboration and Engagement: Develop metrics to assess collaboration progress and customer satisfaction, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals and contracts that align with customer needs and company objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and growth opportunities, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for customers, coordinating inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Growth: Identify new business opportunities and develop sales strategies to achieve targets across the Grid Technologies portfolio.
  • Account Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive account plan with the TNO, adapting it based on regular reviews with key partners while building strong customer relationships to understand and meet their needs.

What You Bring 

  • Significant experience in large account management, sales, or business development within the energy sector, preferably in grid technologies or power transmission and distribution. 
  • Ability to build relationships from C suite down through a large organisation 
  • Strong understanding of the energy market and grid technologies. 
  • Strong understanding of the GB&I electricity Transmission and Utility market 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
  • Consistent record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. 
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. 
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team. 
  • Willingness to travel within the UK as required and occasionally abroad.
