A Snapshot of Your Day
Main objective of the position is to provide seasonal field engineering oversight on all types of generator work.
The Seasonal Generator Field Services Engineer will be accountable to perform crew supervision, inspection, testing, and communication to customers both internal and external. This position is part of Turbine and Generator Specialty Services based in Region North America but serves customers globally.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Direct teams of field service engineers, technicians and craft labor personnel in the installation, repair maintenance, and troubleshooting of generators at various customer sites.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical specialty testing (low and high voltage) as required.
- Coordinate and manage staffing of project team at customer sites.
- Provide generator and generator interface knowledge and expertise to division management, customer management, product line management and suppliers.
- Ensures all work is performed per approved processes and procedures while maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality.
- Prepare and forward accurate reports concerning the condition and repairs and recommendations for customer equipment.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in field service is required; Candidates with more experience may be eligible for a more senior level position.
- Must have working knowledge of large electrical apparatus, including but not limited to, generator inspection, testing, generator rewinds and repairs.
- Must possess organizational skills, planning, attention to detail and safety culture.
- This position is 100% REMOTE due to 100% travel is required.
