The Turbo and Reciprocating Compressor Upgrades and Revamps Sales team is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual ready to step into a customer-facing role! In this position, you will drive the technical sales and business development for the Controls and Automation of Turbo and Recip Compressors, focusing on delivering customized solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the overall sales development process for Controls Mods & Ups Projects related to centrifugal and reciprocating compression. Responsibilities include mining and qualifying new opportunities, developing winning strategies and value propositions, identifying and influence key decision-makers, and successfully navigating complex internal and external selling environments.
- Responsible for forecasting Controls M&U business for Services North America, including Salesforce funnel management and ensuring the accuracy and quality of forecasts.
- Practice a “Clean Handover" to the commercial and executing teams for every new project. Responsibilities include final Purchase Order review and capture, and leading/participating in all internal and external kickoff meetings.
- Develop and nurture client relationships and continually create new ones through active onsite visits and engagement sessions, working together with Client Managers and Regional Sales teams. Capture and share customer intelligence within Siemens Energy.
- Participate in and potentially lead Siemens Energy business growth initiatives as needed.
- Manage expense governance within Siemens Energy corporate guidelines.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; a degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation Engineering or a related Engineering field is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years’ combined experience with sales/business development and Controls and Automation Systems is required; Candidates with more experience may be eligible for a more senior level role.
- Strategic orientation with detailed knowledge of controls and automation products, services, and markets is required.
- Willingness to travel domestically is required.
- Experience with control systems for rotating equipment sales and/or capital project business development is a plus.
- Familiar with industrial compressors, including an understanding of compressor performance and application principles is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and across organizational and international boundaries; Must be self-motivated with high energy drive and business acumen.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
