A Snapshot of Your Day
This position is for a permanent Team Lead for the Field Level Development team within the Grid Flow Platform organization. The primary objective is to ensure business continuity and provide stable leadership and growing the team. To achieve this, the role will focus on a balance of leading and developing the engineering team, and providing the technical strategy and vision for field-level solutions. These areas are designed to create development momentum and ensure the team's alignment with the broader engineering strategy, with an equal emphasis on both people management and technical leadership.
Given the focus on technical leadership, the ideal candidate will possess proven experience in managing engineering teams combined with a strong background in electrical engineering, control systems, or a related discipline, preferably within the energy or grid technology sector.
How You’ll Make an Impact - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers focused on field-level hardware and software solutions, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
- Manage team capacity, workload planning, performance reviews, and ongoing development discussions.
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding to ensure the team is staffed in line with project and organizational needs.
- Define and communicate the technical vision and strategy for the Field Level Development team in alignment with the Grid Flow Platform roadmap.
- Ensure architecturally sound solutions and seamless platform integration through close collaboration with sister teams and stakeholders, acting as the key technical authority.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement by advancing development processes, tools, and technologies, while staying current with industry trends in control systems, instrumentation, and communication protocols.
What You Bring- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Significant professional experience in electrical, instrumentation, or control systems engineering, ideally within the energy or grid technology industry.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or team management capacity, responsibility for guiding technical development teams.
- Strong technical expertise in control systems, electrical engineering, embedded systems and firmware development and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL).
- Well-developed behavioral skills including problem-solving, strategic thinking, and clear, effective communication.
- Proficiency in English, German a plus, with a high level of initiative and communication abilities.
